Almost all serious ecommerce training in India is delivered in English.
That is a reasonable default for a Bangalore product team. It is a poor default for the person actually running the catalogue in Surat, Ludhiana or Tiruppur — who may well understand the business better than anyone in the room, and who will still lose fifteen percent of a lesson to the language it arrived in.
So every Playbook film is narrated twice: once in Hinglish and once in English. Not subtitles over one track — two full narration tracks, with captions in both, and a language switch inside the player that resumes on the same second.
Written lessons are in English, because that is the language the marketplace dashboards, the policy pages and the fee schedules are written in, and pretending otherwise would not help anyone.
Saarthi goes further, because a question is more personal than a lesson. It answers in Hindi, Hinglish, Gujarati or English, by voice or text, whichever the seller asks in.
None of this is a localisation exercise. It is the difference between training someone and training someone who was already fluent in the subject and just needed it in their own language.
